The Guilderland Chamber of Commerce, the Town of Guilderland, the Parks Dept, GPL, VFW and the American Legion Riders have partnered up for this amazing event! 28 Banners, featuring World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, Operation Enduring Freedom, and other Veterans along with those in Active Duty Service, will be hung in Tawasentha Park and the Guilderland Public Library lot. Many of the banners were sponsored by family members and the rest were sponsored by local businesses.

Thursday 4/26 – Morning procession bringing in the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial Moving Wall to Tawasentha Park led by the American Legion Riders Post 977 in Altamont. Thursday afternoon – All visitors are welcome to stop by and view the wall.

Friday 4/27 – Viewing of the wall is open to visitors all day.

Saturday 4/28 @ 10:00am – Hometown Heroes Opening Ceremony featuring Military Presentations, guest speakers, music provided by the Guilderland Music Academy and the unveiling of the Hometown Heroes Banners.
